PPSMI..ooopppsss ape tuh???

Hi! I would like to share my idea about national education system in science and mathematics, as we all know PPSMI (Pengajaran & Pembelajaran Subjek Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris) is abolished by our DPM/misnister of education Muhiyiddin and will not be available starting next year. From my opinion, PPSMI should not be abolish and should not be pose as an option! It should be reinstated as compulsory! Learning Science and mathematics in English has more pro than cons~Science subject is a subject that needs a lot of debating internationally for example, the use of gene therapy that alter the God's work, the code of ethnicity in blood transfusion and many more! How can u debate and participate in debate actively in international level when u can't speak scientific term in English fluently?! Early education to children is an important part of learning and what you teach them when they are young is most important! and sorry to say some teacher now don't deserve to be respected for them not able to think wisely and no enthusiasm in teaching pupils

i support dwibahasa.. penguasaan total.. i don't support the entire abolishment of PPSMI.. i can't say whether my statement will be bias or not coz i am raised to speak both language, but i was the 1st generation that experienced PPSMI (the guinea pig ^^).. based on what i heard from all my friends, they have benefited especially in the University level.. if u want to abolish PPSMI, plz abolish 90% of English oriented syllabus in the pre & University level so that all student be able to study at that level without wasting their entire 12 years of primary & secondary school learning in total BM. I am not against my own mother tongue, but i am speaking in term of educational interest. If the students can learn sci & math in both language, they have a choice, to be a better student that is good with both language or to be a student that can carry out with one language. i don't entirely blme teachers on teaching in English, but as we all are, if we be doctors, we wud try hard to b gud one, thus as teachers, a good teacher wud do all they can to master whatever knowledge needed of them. this is my opinion

LANGUAGE is not the ony aspect yang kita nilai. mcm Jepun, kenapa mereka boleh laksanakan pembelajaran entirely on their language? why Malaysia tidak? do we have to follow whatever other countries do in order to succeed (sorry ek, this is just questions yang kita perlu jawab).. Japan, although they have Nobel prize winners, they are embarassed when attend any scientific conferences because they cannot properly communicate in English.. like i say, nak memperkasakan educational system entirely on bahasa kita, then all educational level should di wajibkan in that language.Every reference book should be dwibahasa. then we can say utk menggunakan BM in all sci & maths subjects. Like Japan did starting from April 2011, Japan pun dah start wajibkan English. Singapore was ranked no 1 in their educational achievement. let's try compare with that country

japan, china & korea also a developing country before they bcome developed country..but they didn't use english....still can become great country...to be competitive, it must start from zero..:)..
i recommend those who disagree with the pemansuhan, please do research 1st...only then u will understand why people fight for PPSMI...logically u r right but in reality u r cruel...yes, early education for children is very important...and i also want to emphasize here, understanding is much2 important than debate, terms n so on...to've a good understanding you must 've a good basic...what will happen to those not good in english?..i was a tuition teacher b4 and it's very difficult to make them understand with english..need to change to bahasa & as a result they prefer to answer in bahasa rather in english..so, the main objective of PPSMI is failed.. our lecturers here also study in bahasa during their school-hood, and some of them study in bahasa at university level but they still can perform internationally...u r the one who can determine wether u r globally competitive or not, not PPSMI....:)

Actually from my point of opinion, sciences and mathematics in English is good if only the mediator (teacher & all those educator) is enthusiastic enough~No matter in what language, if the teacher has no enthusiasm in teaching, science and mathematics will be just as dull as nothing~nowadays, some of the teachers are not as dedicated as before especially the younger teachers. This is what I had gone through during my secondary school time, I had moved from rural school, to outskirt urban school and to urban school, I too had gone through Chinese vernacular schooling, National school, and missionary school~Along this path, I met some good dedicated teacher but mostly bad teachers who was always not entering class~to the extend sometime for a months straight, I dun get my chemistry teacher at all, and when some enter, they don't know how to explain either in BM or in BI (my physic teacher)~I just don't hope that the future students addressing in world stage with wrong scientific term~scientific term by itself is a totally different language~I prefer the government to improve the quality of teacher first before the government go and change any dasar pendidikan! Previously, the government had never give enough training to teacher and suddenly implement PPSMI, of cause, 200% PPSMI will fail if not 100%! That is y we see all statistic to fall rapidly! I believe during 1975, when Anwar Ibrahim changed English into Malay language in teaching, the statistic fell also~but in long term, who can tell which is better? There is no research on current long term achievement of PPSMI product and pre-PPSMI product~

jawab anak,"begini saja, kita dua2 naik keldai ni"

"tak berhati perut tuan keldai tu, kesian melihat keldai ditunggang dua orang"

"hahahaha, bodoh betul dua lelaki tu, seorang pun tak mahu menunggang keldai.bodoh macam keldai
